Phil Mcgraws social power.
Phil has great social power in his area as a tv host. Many come to him for advice on life or alot of anyday problems that they could be encountering. A person would take the advice Phil would give them givng him the power over the situation and directing the person on what to do, you may even call this manipulative power. He uses his knowledge and power to give someone advice on something and they would follow it, also with him being so well known as who he is today on tv gives him huge community support and giving him the power, the more the viewers and followers, the more the social power he gains. Dr. Phil McGraw has galvanized millions of people to "get real" about their own behavior and create more positive lives.

Economic Power
Phil Mcgraw has lots of money, easy as that. His salary rolls in at huge amounts, his salary for 2009 was $80 million. Through research its shown that his salary is increasing because in 2006 it was stated that his salary was at $45 million a year when 2009 it was $80 million. This goes to show that he has the power to make things happen and bring the subjects that may be laying in the shadows to light.

Is Phil Mcgraws power for good or evil in my opinion?
His power is easily shown to be for the good. The advice he gives is always to help people and never to discriminate. Hes always willing to use his power and his advice to the best of his ability to help. He could come to you quite straight up but in the long run the advice he provides is for the wellbeing of the people he is trying to help.

Would i have his power?
If i was confronted by someone and told, "you can have the same power as Phil Mcgraw will you take it?" my reply would be yes, yes i would but then again there are things about it that would make me say no aswell. His power is great in my opinion and if i had power like that i could use it to the best of my ability to help people and the community. His power is a huge responsibility and people rely on him to give them decent advice on anything they may need and that is a big responsibility to have put on you which i dont know if i'd exactly like.
